Terms of use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms apply to the Otto app for iPhone and Android, made by Lino van Mulken in the Netherlands ("we"). By using Otto you agree to them.

Safety first

Otto is made to be listened to, so that you do not need to look at or touch your phone while driving. Start a session before you leave, use Otto only where it is legal and safe, and never let it distract you from the road. You are always responsible for driving safely.

Using Otto

You may use Otto for your own, personal learning. The course content (texts, audio recordings and images) belongs to us or our licensors. Please do not copy, sell or share it outside the app.

Free and paid content

Downloaded from the App Store

If you downloaded Otto from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Content and mistakes

We check the phrases and recordings carefully, but a translation or pronunciation can still be wrong. If you notice a mistake, please tell us at support@ottointhecar.com.

Liability

We provide Otto as it is and cannot promise that it is always free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms, for example when new features are added; the date at the top shows the latest version. Dutch law applies, without taking away the consumer protection of the country where you live.
